Where are we located?

We have 5 teaching locations in Perth

  • Point Walter - works with all wind directions except westerly
  • Leighton Beach - light southeasterly and northeasterly wind directions
  • Bicton Baths - light southeasterly and northeasterly wind directions
  • John Tonkin reserve - light east/southeasterly and northeasterly wind directions
  • Woodmans point - light easterly and northeasterly wind directions

All locations are found in beautiful nature reserves or near residential areas where we only have access with our trailers which makes us a mobile SUP school and shop.

Please ring ahead to check we are there, as we may be out on the water giving lessons, or at another location due to wind direction.

What are our opening hours?

We are closed from June to September

Summer Season (October 20th - March 20th):

9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
10:00am-5:00pm Saturday & Sunday.
Shoulder Season (September 1st - October 1st  & May 1st - June 1st) :

Tuesday to Friday 9am- 3pm

Saturday & Sunday 10am - 4pm

What will you need to bring with you for your Stand Up Paddle lesson/hire?
  • Sunglasses are great, we have string to connect your glasses so you do not lose them.
  • A hat for sun protection
  • Something to rehydrate with as stand up paddling makes you thirsty and hungry!
  • Bathers or board shorts. We also supply rash guards.
  • Towel/dry clothes to wear after the lesson.
  • A warm jumper if your doing a dawn session at Point Walter or Leighton, the SE wind direction can be cool whilst you are in the car park, once you are on the water and out of the wind being protected by the land mass you will be warm.
  • Enthusiasm! The more keen you are to learn, the faster we will get you STOKED
Can you use your own equipment?
Yes of course, please let us know ahead of time so we can be sure your equipment is suitable for the conditions. You must have a suitable leg rope.
How much are lessons?

Stand Up Paddleboarding lesson prices depend on how many people you book in.

The more people in your booking the cheaper it is per person.

We have a maximum of 8 people per lesson for our River locations, at our Ocean locations we can offer larger groups, schools and corporate team building.

What is the age limit for lessons?

If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present at the start of the lesson to sign waivers for their dependent. Also, we can teach children under the age of 10 but this will be decided by a case-by-case basis. We require all people in the class to have a reasonable swimming ability / health / fitness level.

Is there a weight restriction for lessons?

130kg is probably our limit for a group class, more attention would be suited to a private one on one lesson. Although our boards are classed as ideal for all weights

Do I need to bring my Gift voucher?
If you are redeeming a Gift voucher you must bring the original with you. We do not accept voucher numbers at the beach.
What happens if the lesson/hire is cancelled due to bad weather?
In the event of a lesson/hire being cancelled due to bad weather, you may rebook at a later date or have your payment extended for a year from the booking date (refunds are not possible).
What if I didn't complete my course before the end of the summer season or I had to leave the country ?
In the event of a course being abandoned you will be offered an alternative activity or the remaining time on a future course.
Can you order out of stock items?
Yes. If we don't have something in stock or available that you would like, contact us at 0410 142 878 or send us an email info@elementalsurf.com.au and we will do our best to get you the item as quickly as possible.
How long till you receive your order?

Online orders are processed on the day or the next opening day. All orders will be dispatched within 1 business day. If this is not possible for any reason, one of our friendly staff will contact you. Generally, orders in the Perth area are received within 1-3 business days. Australia wide is generally about a week. We post smaller items with Australia Post, and larger items are sent via Startrack Express couriers.

How much is shipping?

Australia wide shipping is only $10. Second hand or traded in items do attract a shipping charge that depends on the item size and weight. You can view our shipping policy here.

What is the process for warranty claims?

Contact us about a faulty product and email your receipt to us and we'll process the claim for you. Click here for more info about warranties.
