Stand Up Paddle Perth SUP SURF Lesson
SUP SURF! Hey Its not that difficult to catch your first wave.
You are already standing up! .... and you have Paddle power!
The paddle will also assist you with your balance.
Its an absolute blast and you will feel amazing!
Come and Learn with us in a fun and safe way, with our friendly experienced team.
Its always nice to have some coaching you when you attempt your first ride and we can offer you One on One coaching with one of Australias top instructors!
You can also grab a couple of friends and learn togther in a small group.
- You will then learn correct stroke technique, reading waves, road rules, all the tricks for getting over white wash and other necessary theory.
- You will also learn how to turn the board using four different paddle techniques.
- Foot placement and stance and self rescue when you are in the waves.
- In addition we'll discuss board selection and paddle sizing.
All these new skills will be tuned in during your lesson with instant feed back from one of Australias Top intructors.
2 Hours is the best Option to get the most out of your lesson as It will give you and your instructor time to adjust with feedback after each new attempt and more time to practice getting better results and a very good work out too.
All equipment is included in the lesson, If you have your own gear please make sure you have a suitable length board leash.

What you will need to bring on your SUP SURF lesson?
You will need to consider that you are out on the water in the elements
A hat for sun protection, sunscreen and something to drink. You will need a towel, board shorts and a long sleeve rash vest or a wetsuit if its during the colder months.
Sunglasses need to be attached to you somehow, a piece of string will do fine, otherwise you will lose them in the water. If you are redeeming a Stand Up Paddle Perth gift voucher don’t forget to bring it with you!
Where will the lessons be held?
Well that depends on the conditions of the day, unlike our regular flat water Location of Point Walter where we can go out almost anyday... we are now heading to the coast where we are more open to the elements and need to be more selective with our wether conditions.
Wind is a huge factor .. we dont want any! unless its a nice light offshore.
Dont worry, as you progress you will learn more and more about the weather untill you feel like a qualified weatherman or woman. For now let us worry about it, but please try and be as flexible as possible with your dates and times especially over the winter months.
